Jackie Maguire | Styled in tweed
Jackie talks about her love of using British wools and tweeds to design the Jackie Maguire coat and jacket collection
Look closely and you will be amazed at the myriad of colours within the weave of a real tweed fabric.
The depth of colour combined with it's warmth against the skin and durability make traditional wools and tweeds more versatile than you may think.
Natural, breathable, and totally biodegradable - pure wool is enjoying a resurgence in popularity with consumers who want to buy clothing with sustainability and traceability. Re-affirming its place in our hearts as a truly luxurious, dependable & subtly beautiful, beating most other alternatives in the longevity stakes.
Tweed need not be resigned to being seen only in traditional field jackets and overcoats. Jackie Maguire is bringing out the inner beauty, re-inventing tweed fashion by putting it into contemporary styles. Always cut in flattering fits, to be comfortable & superbly warm. Creating true fashion pieces to be loved, worn & cherished forever.
A passion for design
My passion for design always begins with the cloth I am working with, the nature of its drape often dictates the piece it becomes.
Designing the perfect coat or jacket is an art - it has to be aesthetically beautiful, cut to flatter the wearer, and most importantly make them feel good inside it.
